See the Great Migration from a hot air balloon, Kenya

The Migration between Kenya's Masai Mara and Tanzania's Serengeti National Park from July to October is one of the greatest wildlife spectacles on the planet. The abundance of wildlife and the remoteness of the reserve makes it truly a magical experience. The massive herds of wildebeest and zebras are constantly driven by their search for fresh grazing and are closely followed by predators such as lions, hyenas and cheetahs. The migration can be experienced on early morning game drives in customised vehicles, walking safaris with Masai Warrior guides or horseback safaris in areas surrounding the Mara. The most impressive way to see the migration is in a hot air balloon – it gives you the opportunity to see, smell and soak up an area on a completely new level.

Follow Darwin's footprints - Sail the Galapagos Islands

An ecological wonderland of wildlife, the Galapagos Islands inspired Charles Darwin's theory of natural selection long before the cruise ships arrived. Go to a Hofburg Palace Ball in Vienna

Dance the night away at one of the most fairytale events in the social calendar. Arrive at the ball by horse-drawn carriage; a traditional Fiaker ride is a wonderful and romantic way to discover the historic city at night. The Viennese Ball begins with the opening ceremony. This will include a Polonaise, a Waltz and either the Fledermaus Quadrille or an originally choreographed dance. This ceremony is always performed by the opening Committee, which consists of dozens of young couples dressed in black (men) and white (women). The opening ceremony may also include a short ballet, opera or orchestral performance, as well as a brief speech by a prominent dignitary. The opening ceremony ends with the proclamation “Alles Waltzer!” (Everyone Waltz!). Attendees flood the dance floor for the very first waltz. We can arrange a dance lesson in the city readiness for the ball.

Though the tiger safari will undoubtedly be the highlight of your trip, there is so much more to explore in this captivating part of India. That is why we have included Jaipur and Agra in the trip. India is one of the most remarkable and captivating countries you will be marveling at the rich mix of emotions that the sub-continent arouses – the sights and sounds of India, the colors and the history, the people and the wildlife, the tigers and temples. We have selected Ranthambhore as the focal point of the trip – a beautiful National Park, the largest in Northern India and a huge source of inspiration for writer Rudyard Kipling. This green, lush space vibrates with the trill and chirps of birds, and around every corner there is a striking ruin of an ancient palace, reminding you of the park’s history as the favored hunting ground for the Maharajas of Jaipur. There is an excellent chance of seeing the tigers who are diurnal (active during the day) and it’s possible to get close enough for even keen amateurs to get stunning photographs. One of our main reasons for choosing Ranthambhore is that it is not overcrowded with game vehicles, unlike some other parks, so you will see these magnificent creatures in a relaxed, tranquil environment.

It was famed in the 16th century for the manufacture of perfumed leather gloves and aromatic plants. It has since become the world centre of perfume industry. Tarinology is the science of perfume making. An unforgettable experience in the world of perfume-making awaits you at the Fragonard perfume factory. You will discover how a perfumer or "nose" masters the art of fragrance creation while learning about the history of the perfume industry. You'll see which raw materials are used and how they are extracted. By the end of the program, you will be able to compose your own eau de toilette inspired by the year's flower (the Violet, in 2012), or even a classic eau de cologne. It is a fascinating learning experience in the world of perfume.

See the Northern Lights

Watch nature's own theatre unfold above you as the most spectacular light show takes centre stage: The northern lights with you in the front row. Aurora is an unpredictable lady, and you never know when she will decide to turn up. This diva keeps you waiting, so whenever you go hunting for the northern lights above the Arctic Circle, make sure you set aside the whole evening. Northern lights worshippers do everything from cross-country skiing to building snowmen in order to keep warm and entertained while outside. Each appearance of the northern lights is unique. Often you see three green bands across the night sky. Or the lights come as flickering curtains or rolling smoke. The colour is a luminous green, often with a hint of pink along the edge, and occasionally with a deep violet centre. The colour palette seems to come from the 1980s.

The Mayan Legacy, Guatemala

What could be more inviting than indulging oneself underwater –drinking delicious cocktails, enjoying fine cuisine or simply relaxing in the lap of luxury – while fish swim past and air bubbles float serenely to the surface. Short of restaurants, bars and hotels ensconced on the surface of the moon, entertainment spaces don’t come much more breathtaking.

Dine in the trees

The Dining pod, as this al fresco dining experience is called, hangs about 16 feet above the ground. Looking at pictures of this pod, you might be wondering how the guests and the servers get up there. As you can see, there are no stairs or elevator leading up to the woven pod. Well, it turns out that the pod itself is an elevator. Controlled by a system of cables and winches, The Dining Pod can be lowered to the ground where up to four diners can board before it is lifted back up. Although 16 feet might not sound all that high, you have to consider that the pod is a little ways up a hill. The combined elevation of the Dining Pod and the hillside slope guarantees an amazing view of the Gulf of Thailand.

Fly with a Spitfire

Fly alongside a Spitfire in the same airspace where some of World War Two's most intense aerial fighting took place. As a passenger in a helicopter, take a 20 minute flight over the Kentish countryside, with breathtaking views of (amongst other things) the Battle of Britain Memorial at Capel-le-Ferne. The Spitfire flies within waving distance and requests can even be passed to the pilot to position the aircraft for that perfect photo shot! Once past the memorial, the flight returns to the airfield for a presentation of a mounted picture of the Spitfire flying with the helicopter, to serve as a momento of this poignant and unforgettable experience.

Swim with Whales Sharks in Australia

Swimming with whale sharks at Ningaloo Reef is the experience of a lifetime. Join a whale shark watching or snorkeling tour from Exmouth or Coral Bay and experience the ultimate wildlife encounter. Every year, between mid March and mid July, these gentle giants of the ocean congregate in the Ningaloo Marine Park following the mass spawning of coral. Harmless to humans, they are the world’s largest species of fish and can grow up to 18 meters in length.

Visit Mount Rushmore

Nestled in the remote, mountainous Black Hills region of South Dakota you’ll find one of America’s most famous and instantly identifiable landmarks, Mouth Rushmore. Four 60ft-tall carvings (out of Mt. Rushmore’s southeast granite face) of four of the U.S.’s greatest Presidents. And depending when you go, don’t forget to check out the nearby Crazy Horse Memorial, an in-progress, 563ft Native American statue (also carved out of a mountain) that’s slated to become the world’s tallest statue.

And what better way to experience it than by hot air balloon?
